Richard John Heilman, 54
On August 28, 2015 he passed away at his home. Rich is survived by his beloved sons, Jack and Luke Heilman, and his wife Maribeth McCarthy. He is also survived by his mother, Audrey Heilman; brother, Michael Heilman and his wife Leslie; sister, Kathleen Geer and her husband Doug; and many more family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Norbert Heilman. Rich, a life long Steelers fan, will be best remembered for his avid kindness and generosity, and his love for his boys.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Everly Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, VA. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1427 W. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, VA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his name may be made to The Boy Scouts of America, http://aplacetogive.scouting.org/, and the University of Pittsburgh Marching Band, Pittsburgh Bands PO Box 7436, Pittsburgh PA 15213.
