To the McDaniel family. I doubt if you remember me, but my brother and I used to hang out with Wayne and Anthony Coletti (lived up the same street). We were two foreign kids, probably the first Asian kids in Alexandria. I was watching football and a player reminded me of Wayne and I asked myself, where is Wayne. I was so shocked and saddened to learn of his passing.

I want to let your family know that he was the kindest person two kids could have had as a friend. For me personally, he taught me how to play basketball, baseball, and football. He was so talented. As you can see all these years later, I still think of him often.

God has His reasons for us and our duration in this world, to Him we belong and to Him we shall return. Please accept my sincerest condolences to the family.

I just learned of Wayne's passing from an E Oak St neighbor & can't quite wrap my head around it. Of all of my brothers friends, Wayne was, by far, the nicest & most level-headed.
While 49's too young to go, I assume the Lord had other plans for him. My deepest sympathies go out to all of his loved ones.

To the McDaniel family. I was heartbroken to learn of Wayne's passing. In the 28 years I knew him I bet we traveled a half a million miles together across many states and met all kinds of people. He was a great friend and an awesome person that I was blessed to share a friendship with. You all are in my prayers and may he RIP.
