Ethel V Mintzell

Ethel V. Mintzell, of Alexandria, VA, past peacefully on August 10, 2017 at the age of 100. She was born in Arlington, Virginia the late William and Bertha Carter.

Ethel was a woman of much strength and would push through any circumstance she faced. She endured many adversities in her life. During the time of the depression, she did what she could to help her husband bring money into the household. He made $15 a week. To help Ethel would paint rooms for others, decorate homes, work on cars and even general carpentry work. Ethel enjoyed helping her family financially. She was not the traditional housewife; she went above and beyond in ever task she put her hands including contributing to her homes blue prints.

Ethel was preceded by her husband and son, William F. Mintzell. She was survived by her loving grandchildren: Frederick Lee Mintzell and daughter Dana Davis (Carl) and friends.
