On January 21, 2018, James O. Pyle moved on to his next adventure after a struggle with cancer.
Jim was born in Dearborn, Michigan to parents Arnold Pyle and Mary Louise Pyle (Freeze) and moved to Alexandria, VA in 1968. He worked at RS Somers in restaurant sales and installation and then with ABCO Corporation in Alexandria, VA. Jim and Taryn were married in 2001 after many years together. Jim was a gentle soul who was always smiling and welcoming of the people he knew and met throughout his life. He was never known to have a bad day. His passion was golf and a good game of pool, and enjoyed time spent at home next to the grill cooking and watching a good game of Football. He loves old movies and old music. He and his wife enjoyed as much time as they could at the beach, in the mountains, or he could be found with his friends playing a round of golf on the golf course. He leaves behind his loving spouse Taryn Pyle (Moore); siblings April Davin (Pyle) and David Pyle; two Aunts, Carol Forgette (Pyle) and Nancy Pupich (Pyle); Uncle Alan Pyle and Aunt Cheryl Pyle; as well as Sylvia Pyle (Soutzos); Jim's stepmother. Jim loved kids and was Uncle and Great Uncle to 16 nieces and nephews.
Service/Celebration Times: Service will be held Saturday, February 10th at 3:00pm at the Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 West Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA 22302. A service will be held and officiated by a long-time friend and Officiant, Susan Fleshman (Manship). Flowers can be sent to Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, his most special request would be that you give to a homeless person in need that you may encounter on the street this winter.
