Joyce Elaine Cash

Joyce Cash, 69, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017 in the Shenandoah valley. She was the wife of John Cash; they shared 45 years of marriage together. Born in Jamestown, PA, Joyce was the daughter of John and Twila Ogburn. She was the youngest of three children, her two older brothers are Roy and Marvin Ogburn.
 
Joyce worked as a RN for many years, but the job she took the most pride in was being a mother.  She went to every swim meet, sporting event, choir concert, school function, and never missed a field trip. In recent years she was retired and living with her husband and dog, Broxen, in Triangle, VA. 

Joyce lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, taking pictures and capturing life as she was living it, making photo albums, planning the annual beach vacation and other family adventures, staying connected to family and friends through social media (none of her Facebook friends went unliked), playing games (Dominoes, cards, Candy Crush), talking on the phone to her girls, sewing and crafts, watching the Washington Nationals live or on TV, giving hugs and spreading love. She will forever be remembered for her huge heart and the love she had for everyone. Joyce truly accepted anyone and everyone into her arms, heart and home. 

Joyce is survived by her spouse, John Cash, daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer and James Monaco, Pam Cash, Jessica Cash and Heather Cash; dog, Broxen Cash, and grandpets. 
The funeral service will be held on Saturday July 15th at 11AM at Everly-Wheatly Funeral Home
