Joyce A Pogue, 89, was a strong, feisty and fiercely independent woman who was well loved for the deep service she provided her friends, family, community and country (as a traveling military service wife). She departed this life May 10, 2017.
She was preceded in death long ago by her husband Roger Pogue and their son Leslie Michael. She is survived by her daughters LaMora Pogue and Darci Vanderhoff and daughter-in-law Marie Chimienti.
As the last-surviving member of her large family of 7 siblings, she is loved and missed by numerous daughters and sons throughout the US, some identifying as nieces, nephews and cousins, some as friends.
She instilled her guidance, compassion, sense of humor and her attitude that ‘Life is what you make it.' She wrote her own novel until the very last page, and was inspiration to us all. Well done Joyce.
She is profoundly missed. Information regarding a celebration of her life will follow
