On Sunday, November 26, 2017 Marjorie Madsen of Alexandria, VA passed away. The beloved wife of the late Andrew C. Madsen for 55 years; loving mother of Calvin Dee Madsen (Rosemary), Janis Clements (Steven), and Sherree Kirby (Ted); grandmother of 5; and great-grandmother of 9 was a long-time resident of Northern Virginia and very active in the community and in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of the Mount Vernon Republican Women Club and served as an Election Officer for many years. She reached out in love and compassion to countless individuals in her church service. Family and friends may call at Everly Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 West Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA 22302 on Sunday from 5 to 8 pm. A second viewing will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2810 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22302 Monday at 9:30 am, with the funeral service following at 10:30 am. The interment will be at Quantico National Cemetery Tuesday at 11 am.
