Susan Marie Campbell

Susan Marie Russell Campbell passed away at Fairfax Hospital in the early hours of September 28, 2017, at the age of 71 following a brief battle with cancer.  She was born January 9, 1946 in Denver, Colorado to Clark B. Russell and Mary Sorrell Russell. Susan was the better half of her 32 year marriage to her devoted husband JJ Campbell.  She is survived by her husband JJ, brother Steve Russell and wife Susan Russell of Richmond, sisters-in-law Susan Lowther, Kathleen Bianchi and Martha Campbell, as well as, many loving nieces and nephews.  Susan had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and genuine way.  Her outlook, humor, one-liners, strength and smile will be sorely missed. Friends, family and others whose lives were touched by Susan are invited to the Everly Wheatley Funeral Home Thursday, October 5 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm and on Friday, October 6 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, the internment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
