So sorry for your loss. I know what it's like because I myself lost my dad last October. I'm sure he had a good life here on earth and was a wonderful father and husband. May you keep in mind he is in a far much better place with a brand new body that will never have to suffer again.

My father was a very humble family dedicated man... he made sure the family stay together... if there was any problems he would try to work them out... I remember when I was a youngling... The family went camping for about a week... all my sisters was able to invite a friend to join us... when we went fishing... our father had enough fishing poles for everyone and their guests... except for me... my dad took me to the woods and said he was going to make me a special fishing pole... Together my daddy & I found this Y stick... added some fishing string... a bobber... My dad told me I would catch many fish... that day we all were fishing and I was the only one catching fish from that special pole my father made just for me... ;*)

I'm so sorry for your family's loss. While I didn't know Al personally, I do know the loss of a loved one, and the pain can seem overwhelming. However I found comfort in the Bible's promise for the future. Acts 24:15 speaks of a resurrection, a time when God will reunite us with our loved ones again! I hope this helps bring some comfort in this time of sorrow.

So sad to hear the news about Al. He was a wonderful gentle, humble man and we always enjoyed having him with us on bowling tournaments. I remember when he and Helen came to Kingstown to play bridge. Helen wasn't there one time and he brought a cake we all thought she baked and raved about it and I think it was from Costco. My sympathy to Helen and family. You are in our prayers. Peace be with you.

I remember Myrtle’s voice and laughter. Her witty stories of life. Her calm demeanor when I needed balance. And so much more. Looking forward to our paths crossing again in Jehovah’s promised eternity in paradise, Job chap 14.

Thoughts of her daughter-in-law, Marlene

Mr. Jimenez, my father in law for these last forty-two years, was a quiet man whose love, intellect, and integrity shone brightly to all who came to know him. His commitment to family was a lesson in humility and grace. A brilliant man, Al was professionally affiliated with the United States Department of Transportation for over forty years, accomplishing numerous safety programs and proactive safety procedures which have affected and saved millions of lives across the transportation arteries of our great Nation. He was a patriot who worked tirelessly at his Federal position.
Al's Life was, to me, a lesson in love and dedication to family and friends, generosity to his fellow men, and a love and dedication to the wisdom and beauty of his Faith. I thank him and his remarkable wife, Helen, my mother in law-- for accepting this stranger from the Piney Woods of Eastern Texas into their loving family. Knowing this kind and humble servant of God has enriched my Life in ways too numerous to list. Rest In Peace, my dear father. May you be in the presence of the Angels, Saints, and faithfully departed. We all miss you. Our hearts are weeping at our loss.

Al was a brilliant and remarkably humble gentleman. As his "future" son in law back in the 70's, when Roma and I were still in College, Al took me to the Racetrack and taught me how NOT to pick the correct horses! I also learned all of the ropes at the casinos--usually came out broke!!
A man of unquestionable character, endless generosity, and a heart filled with empathy towards his fellow man.
