On Saturday, February 15, 2020, Daniel Steven Tomey, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away at the age of 65.
Dan was born on January 5, 1955, in Oklahoma, to Jackson and Dorothy, and grew up with siblings David, Charles, and Suzanne. Dan was proud of his time as a firefighter and his service in the United States Coast Guard. He was the Washington Nationals’ biggest fan and watched the team’s World Series run from his hospital room. Dan is survived by his wife of 32 years, Julie, and their two children, Steven (Katrina) and Hannah (Jeremy).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11 o’clock a.m. at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA, 22302. A reception will follow after the service.
