As a young kid, I remember how excited I would get when we’d go visit Lee & Leo and I’d learn that Dayna was going to be home!! I remember following her around as if I were her shadow, always looking up to her. I’d sit at her feet while she studied & did her homework. She was always so patient & kind to that bratty, little kid!! I was always fascinated by her hamsters (or maybe they were gerbils?) & their expansive tunnels & living arrangements. Maybe in reality, they weren’t really that grand, but that’s how they appeared through the eyes of a child. While I only saw Dayna on occasion during our “grown up” years, I’ve always carried those fond memories of her with me. Everything about Dayna was magnificent. Her laugh, her wit, her character, her patience, her kindness. The list is endless. Her passing truly breaks my heart but I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that she’s now sitting at the feet of Jesus, she’s completely healed & experiencing a joy that those of us here on earth can’t even begin to fathom! Auntie Lee-Lee & Uncle Leo ... I am so, so sorry for your loss. I’ve been praying peace, strength & comfort over you. We love you beyond measure.
