Diana Ottenmiller A'Harrah passed away peacefully on March 9, 2021, at the age of 86. Born November 8, 1934 to Irma and Edward Ottenmiller of Warren, Pennsylvania, Diana was raised by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. (Clement) Earl Ruland (Clara Bell—Grandma Bell).
Diana was owner of the Russell Post Office, which was built for the Russell community by her aunt, Frances Ruland in the 1960s on land donated by Diana’s grandfather, C. Earl. She graduated from Warren High School in 1952, and attended William & Mary college. Diana was predeceased by her son, Ralph K. A'Harrah. Survived by husband Ralph C. A’Harrah and daughter Chris Ann Lee (Christopher), Gayle Aileen A’Harrah of Doylestown, PA, and Todd R. A’Harrah (Kelly), five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Diana was a loving wife and homemaker, and enjoyed surrounding herself with many beloved dogs and cats. She was a longtime caretaker of rescued animals. She enjoyed numerous trips at home and abroad with Ralph when he served on AGARD. Diana served as an Information Specialist at The Smithsonian Institute for 25 years.
The family will receive guests at the Everly Wheatley Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 16th from 4pm to 6pm.
A visitation will also be held at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home in Warren, PA on Friday, March 19th from 6pm to 8pm, followed by a private interment at Russell United Methodist Church Cemetery.
