Edward Joseph Baker

Retired LCDR Edward Joseph Baker passed away peacefully on February 2, 2020, at the age of 61 in Napa, CA.

Born to John and Yvonne Baker of Chicago, IL, he was one of five siblings and he is survived by his two sisters, one brother and his two children. He was a beloved husband, brother, father and good friend to all.

He was committed to his career in the Navy and government and earned the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Navy Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal and received a Presidential Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Unit Commendation, Navy Battle “E”, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.

 He will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery with Full Military Honors on Tuesday, July 14th, 2020. Funeral Service will begin at the Ft. Myer Old Post Chapel at 11am. Please check back as more details become available.
