Edward James Bogart

Edward James Warren Bogart of Alexandria, Virginia passed away on January  12, 2023 at the age of 92.

Edward was born on January 24, 1930 in Buffalo, New York. After graduating from Jersey Preparatory School in 1946, he finished his undergraduate at Fordham University and his law degree at Seton Hall University.

He practiced law in Jersey City, NJ for 45 years.  He served as the President of the Lincoln Association and the University Club.  He received the Professional of the Year Award in 1997 from the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law.  His law firm continues as Bogart, Keane and Ryan. 

He was married to Nora Campisano Bogart. He was the father of Jennifer and Tina Bogart and stepfather of Nicholas and Richard Campisano.  He was the proud grandfather of nine children: Amanda, Dustin, Emily, Dylan, Valerie, Nicky Jr, Lauren, Kathleen and Carmella. 

Services will be held at Everly - Wheatley Funeral Home (1500 West Braddock Rd, Alexandria VA) on Saturday, January 28 at 1:30 pm. Flowers can be accepted or donations made to The Lincoln Cottage (https://www.lincolncottage.org/donate/)
