Eileen Antonette Farrell (Age 77)

On April 14, 2018, Eileen Farrell died suddenly at her home in Alexandria, Virginia. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Joseph and Marie Hurkmans Farrell, and sister of Joseph “Skip,“ Jr., and her twin, Edward, all of whom pre-deceased her. Eileen retained a life-long affection for her native city throughout a long career in the U.S. State Department’s Foreign Service, where she served in Latin America, Egypt, Europe, Canada and the U.S.  An inveterate traveler, enthusiastic thespian, jolly sailor and vibrant personality, Eileen will be warmly remembered by her many friends and family.  A gathering to celebrate her life will be arranged at a later date.
