Emily Rose Whalen

Emily R. Whalen, former Northern Virginia business woman, who enjoyed writing poetry, died peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 2, 2019. She was 95. She was a former member of the Commonwealth Republican Women's Club and the National Federation of Republican Women. Her poems were published by the World of Poetry Press. She is survived by her son John, daughter Karen, two grandchildren, and three grandchildren. She will be missed.
