Emma Louise Miller

On September 26, 2017 surrounded by her loving family, Emma lost her long battle with cancer.
Born November 20, 1948 in Alexandria, VA. She graduated from George Washington High School in Alexandria, VA

Emma is survived by her loving husband, Paul of 47 years. Daughter Sherri L. Miller of Springfield, VA. Son Brian M. Miller of Alexandria, VA. Son Thomas V. Miller and wife Melinda Miller (Waldie) of Stafford, VA and three grandchildren, Thomas Joseph (T.J.), Mollie, and Nathan Miller. Sister Charlene Hollingshead and husband James. Niece Roxanne Hurt-Ritenburg, Nephews Randy Faulkner and Ryan Moore, several great nieces and nephews all from Sparrows Point, Maryland.

She was employed by MetLife for 33 yrs. as an administrative assistant. Following retirement she worked 11 years for Gentile Financial Group in Alexandria, VA as an office administrator.

Emma loved to crochet, there were many baby blankets made and given to special people. She also loved her church- Stafford Crossing Community Church, the Washington Redskins and the Washington Nationals. She was devoted to her three grandchildren, they were her life.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 2 p.m-4 p.m. and 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Everly Wheatley Funeral Home, Alexandria, VA. The service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on October 4, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Comfort Cemetery.
