Tribute

Frank Lempicki died suddenly on Saturday September 8, 2018 at age 67.  Frank and his twin brother Steve were born in San Antonio, Texas on November 11, 1950. Their father was an Army medic and so, as a military family, the boys moved frequently as they grew up. Their parents Stanley and Helen Lempicki are deceased and Steve now lives in Texas.  Frank is also survived by his wife Beverly, their daughter Sharon and son-in-law Travis, grandchildren Traci, Jay, and Chris, and many friends.

Frank graduated from Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, VA and Grantham Technical School.  He served in the Army in the 1970s and then was an electronics technician for Slye Electronics and a local area networks (LAN) technician at the MITRE Corporation and Ungermann-Bass Inc.

Frank received his amateur radio license in high school and remained an active “Ham” all of his life.  He was a member of the Mount Vernon Amateur Radio Club and particularly enjoyed providing technical support and encouragement to new members of the amateur radio hobby.
