Gail Dorothy Gardner

Died on December 14, 2018 (Age 85) at her home in Alexandria, VA surrounded in love by her family. Gail was born January 20, 1933 in San Francisco, CA to the late Alexander V. Ellis and Dorothy Ellis Belton. She is survived by her husband, Maj. Kenneth M. Gardner (USMC, Ret.); daughters Sharon Wolford and Sandra (Sandy) Gardner; son Scott Gardner; grandchildren Christopher and Caroline Wolford, and Michael Ambrose; sons-in-law Bret Wolford and Michael (Mike) Ambrose; brother Richard Ellis; nieces Stephanie and Diane Ellis, Catherine (Cathy) Hagerty (Kevin), and Carolyn Kintzley (Randy), and cousins Dr. Leslie Adams and Anne Ludwig. She is preceded in death by her grandson Nicholas Wolford; nephew Thomas Ellis; sister-in-law Mary Lou Ellis; Aunts Lillian de Ganna and June Adams. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5 pm - 8 pm on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home in Alexandria, VA. Funeral service will be held at the Ft. Myer Old Post Chapel at 11 am on Monday, January 28, 2019, immediately followed by interment at Arlington National Cemetery.
