Jerry was a remarkable human being, able to see the good and the potential for good in most every situation. He put up with me, as a rather rambunctious college student serving as he and Ginny's handyman for a number of years. He was one of the most intelligent and interesting people to speak with, and I think he genuinely cared about all of those around him without sitting in judgment as many are prone to do. Jerry was a favorite book, you could not be in contact for awhile and when you got together it was like time never passed, you just started reading that book again, and it was just as good as the last time you read it. Jerry was a good man.
