Helen Virginia Booterbaugh

Helen Virginia Booterbaugh passed away on April 21, 2019. She was born February 22, 1931 in Alexandria, Virginia.  

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Emmett “Mike” Hart; husband, Robert J. Booterbaugh, Jr.; sister, Shirley L. Walter; and grandchildren, Kimberley Riley Garcia and Christian Riley.  Helen was survived by her brother, Kenneth Hart; children Michael Booterbaugh (Donna), Patricia Riley (Wilson), Ronald Booterbaugh (Lee); grandchildren, Linzie Booterbaugh, Robert Booterbaugh, Brandon Booterbaugh (Valerie), Brittany Booterbaugh, Courtney Booterbaugh; as well as great grandchildren, Dylan Garcia, Alexis Garcia, Ella Garcia, Caroline Garcia, Gracie Booterbaugh, and Carter Miller.

Helen was a devoted wife, mother and was fondly called Nannie by her grandchildren.  She always had an infectious smile that lit up a room.  Helen worked in retail at JC Penneys for many years until her retirement.

Visitation will be held at Everly-Wheatley, 1500 W. Braddock Rd, Alexandria on Monday, April 29, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held at Everly-Wheatley on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Mt Comfort Cemetery, 6600 S. Kings Hwy, Alexandria.
