James Francis Lynch Jr.

James Francis Lynch, Jr., 63, died on September 17 at his home in Arlington, Virginia.  Son of the late James Lynch Sr. and the late Peggy Wolfington Potts, Jim grew up in Jenkintown, PA where he developed a love for the Philadelphia Eagles and a good cheesesteak.  He enlisted in the United States Navy and worked for many years as a government consultant for the Navy.  Having been educated by the Sisters of St. Joseph, Jim was an active supporter of St. Rita School in Alexandria, where his two daughters attended, and a long-time parishioner of St. Rita Church.  In his second career, Jim was a department manager at Harris Teeter. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Roncaioli-Lynch, his daughters, Alexsandra Lynch Oakes and Emilia Lynch, his brother, Timothy Lynch, his sisters, Lisa Bierbaumer and Milissa Elaswad, and ten nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in Jim’s honor to St. Rita School’s tuition assistance program.
