Jennie Lee Trapasso

Jennie Lee Trapasso of Alexandria, VA passed away on December 21, 2021 after living with cancer for four years. Widow of Victor G. Trapasso, she is survived by her brother John E. Gibson, her children Laura T. Adler and Michael S. Trapasso, and her grandchildren, Victor Leo Trapasso, Sam Trapasso, Floyd Adler, Ethan Adler and Althea Trapasso.

Jennie Lee was born in Detroit, MI in 1936 to John W. and Jennie Gibson. She came to Northern Virginia with her family when she was 11 years old. She attended Washington-Lee High School and earned a BBA from the University of Michigan in 1958. She worked as secretary-treasurer and later CEO for the family real estate business, and as an administrator for a local tax preparer.

Jennie has volunteered for many charitable organizations and also served as an elections officer for the City of Alexandria. She served on the board of the Alexandria Hospital, and later Inova Hospital System. She was active with St. Stephens and St. Agnes schools, as well as the Catholic Charities Ball Committee. 

She will be fondly remembered for her delicious desserts, her beautiful quilts, and her sparkling personality. She brought a smile to everyone she met. She will be missed by all.

Interment will be at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Columbia Gardens Cemetery.
