Joan Gaye Cobean, 81, of Springfield, VA, beloved wife of Ray B Cobean III, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Born in Charlottesville, VA, December 8, 1935 to James Russell Deane and Juliette Ellen Payne.
Loving mother to Debra Rene Sartor, Denise Raye Miller and Ray B Cobean IV. Grandmother to Kyle Sartor, Haley Sartor, Samantha Miller, Michaela Miller, Michael Miller and Rita Cobean. Great-Grandmother to Rylie Sartor.
The family will receive family and friends from 5:00 to 8:00pm on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Everly Wheatley Funderal home, 1500 W Braddock Rd., Alexandria, Va. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 1:30pm, with interment to follow at Ivy Hill Cemetery.
