Joy Gray Collins widow of the late Colonel Sidney H Collins died on October 1, 2020 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Mrs. Collins served in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force of Great Britain during World War II with the rank of Flight Officer. One of her overseas assignments was in Washington (1943 to 1945) as the personal aide to Air Marshal Sir William Welsh, the Royal Air Force representative of the British Joint Chiefs of Staff. For 32 years Mrs. Collins owned and managed Old Dominion Travel Service Alexandria Virginia retiring in 1992. She spent the last 20 years of her life in Ft. Lauderdale. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice of Fort Lauderdale or a charity of your choice.
