Joyce Davis Norton

Joyce Davis Norton, age 92, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 9, 2020.  Throughout her life, she was a loving, gentle, caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend; one who humbly gave and served others first before herself.  She was a saint who lived for our Lord Jesus Christ every day of her life.  Beloved wife of the late H. Duncan Norton, she is survived by three sons, D. Rand Norton (Anne), Daniel E. Norton (Kate), and Christopher D. Norton (Diane); and two daughters, Dale N. Bradley (Mike), and Darcy N. Esworthy (Jay).  She was blessed with eight grandchildren, Dennis, Paul, Cassie, Starrett, Airlia, Britni, Amber and Heather, as well as 14 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 16th, from 5-9pm at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA.  The memorial service will be on Friday, January 17th, at 2pm at Every-Wheatley.  Interment will be at Mount Comfort Cemetery, 6600 S. Kings Highway, Alexandria, VA immediately following the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Providence Baptist Church, 8980 Brook Road, McLean, VA 22102, or to your favorite charity.
