Kerry Tahera (Turner) Teigen

Kerry T. Teigen, 49, of Alexandria, Virginia, received her wings May 29, 2022, after a brief illness.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Kerry was raised in Bangkok, Thailand, where she lived until she returned to the United States when she was 18.  Kerry lived in Alexandria for more than 30 years. For the last 16 years she worked as a report analyst at the Central Pension Fund.

Kerry was predeceased by her brother, Kevin Turner. She leaves behind, her husband, Andreas Teigen and her three children, Kelly Turner, Kevin Lancto, and Kaitlyn Lancto, who cherish her. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Aubrey, Kevin, and Connor, and her much-loved fur babies.

Kerry was the most uplifting, happy, and wonderful person we have known. She loved to sing and bring smiles to her babies’ faces. She loved scary books, Legos, and, most of all, word games.

Kerry loved to try new things and to experience everything that life has to offer.

Many of our happiest memories revolve around Kerry’s cooking, especially those days we spent at Pappa’s house in the Shenandoah Valley, when Kerry, and all of her children and grandchildren gathered together. Kerry, Kelly and Pappa would cook Thai dishes for hours, under Kerry’s direction, and we ate and laughed and loved being with each other all day.

Although she is no longer physically here with us, we will never forget her. She will live on in her children and grandchildren and their grandchildren for eternity.

We pray that she finds beauty in the afterlife. May her beautiful, loving soul rest in peace.

We love you Kerry Teigen. And we miss you already.
