Lesley Y. Mendoza, 31, of Alexandria, Virginia passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 17th, 2021. Lesley was a loving daughter, dedicated “Titi” (aunt), and the best sister anyone could ever ask for. Lesley’s free spirit, cheerful smile, and wonderful laugh would light up any room. She had the biggest heart, most beautiful soul, and always put others first. Her natural caregiving skills were evident to those closest to her. She had an amazing ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and instantly feel like their best friend. She had a passion for culinary adventures and was always excited to serve “Lesley’s Creations” that never disappointed. She loved arts and crafts, cooking, shopping, traveling, movies, games, reading, and overall spending time with her nephew, sisters, mother, family members, and friends. Although she is gone too soon, her spirit will remain with us and always remind us to be loving, caring, respectful, and kind to one another. Lesley is now at peace in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Rest in paradise our beautiful angel.
Lesley is survived by her mother, Rosario Gomez, and step-father Leandro Gomez; and father, Juan Castro; sisters, Suzanna Mendoza, Erica Mendoza, Jenyfer Gomez, Katherine Gomez; nephew, Elijah Chase; grandmother, Armandina Ugartechea, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family kindly encourages everyone in attendance to wear blue.
