Manuela Elena Daymude, 80, of Arlington, peacefully passed away on May 18, 2023 at home with her husband and daughter holding her hands.
Manuela was born in Bolivia on June 17, 1942 and came to this country in 1967 to explore and create a better life for herself and for her family. She met her husband, Howard, on a rainy day in 1970 and married him on September 27, 1974 in Arlington.
She worked as a Data Entry Supervisor for National Health Laboratories/LabCorp for 37 years.
Manuela was preceded in death by her parents, her step-daughter, Ellen Quinion, and other siblings.
Manuela is survived by her husband, Howard Daymude, her daughter, Holly Daymude, her son and his wife, Jaime and Adelia Casas, her son-in-law, Ken Quinion, and her granddaughters, Karen Quinion-Jones, April Quinion, Viviana Casas de Valdez, Debicita Casas, Bianca Casas, and Jacqui Gutierrez. She is also survived by a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family of Manuela wish to extend our sincere thanks to the kind doctors and nurses with Kaiser Permanente and Virginia Hospital Center for helping her manage her condition and Capital Caring Hospice for their kind assistance in getting her home and with helping the family in the days following her passing.
