Margaret "Peggy" (Reedy) Kilton

November 12, 1932 ~ September 15, 2018 (age 85)

Margaret (Peggy) Reedy Kilton, Formerly of Dalton City, Illinois

Margaret, wife of Roger Kilton of McLean, VA , passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Arleigh Burke Nursing Pavilion, Vinson Hall Retirement Community, McLean, Virginia. A Catholic Mass and Celebration of Life will be held for Peggy at Vinson Hall’s Chapel, on October 6,  2018 at 10.00am.

Peggy was born November 12, 1932. The daughter of Thomas Edward Reedy and Mary Hogan Reedy of Dalton City, Illinois. Peggy graduated from Bethany High School in 1950.

Peggy married Roger Kilton of Sullivan, Illinois, February 12,1955 in the Church of the Assumption near Bolling AFB, Washington DC. She then accompanied her husband through his career in the United States Air Force Biomedical Science Corps. 
 

Peggy received her RN from Passavant School of Nursing at Northwestern University Chicago, Illinois.  There she worked for Dr. Loyal Davis, head of the Neurosurgery Division of Northwestern Hospital. She later graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a B. A.in Nursing Science in 1959. Peggy achieved special honors in both her RN and BA programs. 

Margaret (Peggy) is survived by her husband Roger Kilton of Vinson Hall retirement community, McLean Virginia; her son Douglas Kilton (Lisa) of Houston, Texas; her daughter Mary Ann Kilton Mitchell (Mark) of Falls Church, Virginia; granddaughter Caroline Mitchell of the United States Military Academy at West Point and granddaughter Margaret Mitchell of the College of William and Mary.

Reed Funeral home in Sullivan Illinois will be in charge of her interment at the family cemetery, Saint Isidore Catholic Church, Dalton City, Illinois.
