Mark Allen Fitzgerald

Mark Allen Fitzgerald, a native of Alexandria, passed away on April 22, 2022.   He was predeceased by his parents Curtis and Alice Fitzgerald.  He is survived by his wife Kendall Fitzgerald, his daughters Martha (Brady) and Eleanor (Ellie), and his brother Michael Allen Fitzgerald.

Mark spent the last few years of his life struggling with complications from a traumatic brain injury and stroke suffered in 2013.  Prior to his injury he worked with his mother and wife in their property management company in Alexandria.  Mark always had a colorful story to tell, usually about Memphis or his two daughters, whom he dearly loved.  

A funeral Mass to celebrate Mark’s life will be held Tuesday, May 3 at 11 am at St. Rita Catholic Church, 3815 Russell Road, Alexandria VA 22305. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to Bishop Ireton Crew Association (BICA), 201 Cambridge Road, Alexandria VA 22314 with the memo “in memory of Mark Fitzgerald”.
