Mary Jane Downs

Mary J. Downs passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. She was the wife of late John T. Downs, daughter of Jesse T. Ping and Ella J. Ping. She is survived by 2 daughters, Cheryl Sanker and Cindy Wade; 4 grandchildren, Jeremy Sanker, Justin Wade, Michael Wade, and Katie Wade; one very special great granddaughter, Abby Sanker, who gave her so much love and joy; and 9 other great grandchildren, 2 sisters, and 1 brother. She was a member of Jessica Callahan and Martha Washington Chapter of the Eastern Star. The funeral service will be on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 11:30am at Everly Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Rd, Alexandria, Va 22302. Interment at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Va will follow.
