Tribute

Paul Doucette, 86, passed away on December 12, 2021.  He is survived by his children Laura (Martin), Annemarie (Kfir), and Stephen (Carris); grandchildren Maryjane, Elijah, Owen, Noah, Oliver, and Madaline; brother Robert Doucette, and numerous nephews and nieces.  Preceding him in death are his beloved wife of 49 years, Imogene; his father and mother, Esdras and Beatrice Doucette, his sister Claire Rodenbush, and his brother, Richard Doucette.

Paul was born in Brockton, MA.  He attended Boston College High School and then went on to study Philosophy at Stonehill College.  Upon graduating, Paul entered into a career as US Army Intelligence Specialist in Europe and the United States.  Paul and Imogene met when they were both stationed in Verdun, France.  In 1995, after over 30 years of service, Paul retired at the rank of Colonel and embarked on his new career as a volunteer money counter for St. Louis Catholic Church where he joyfully walked 4 miles each morning to attend mass.  Paul also delighted in cooking and baking for his family and friends, taking care of his neighbors, and helping those in need.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church on Monday, December 20, 2021, at 2:00 pm. The ceremony will also be live-streamed and the link can be found on the church's website  saintlouisparish.org/

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Paul’s name to St. Louis Catholic Church Walsh Hall Renovation, where he faithfully attended for over 40 years.
