Richard McCaffrey (“Dick”)

Passed away peacefully on November 10, 2019 surrounded by the love of his family. Dick was born in Pittsburgh PA to Thomas J and Lillian Stocker McCaffrey. Following his graduation from Georgetown University, Dick served in the Marine Corps and then moved to Alexandria VA. Where he began a career in real estate that spanned fifty plus years and continued until his death. He leaves to mourn his passing Gayle McCaffrey, his wife of thirty one years, children Matthew McCaffrey, Kellie Meehan (Brian), Adam McCaffrey, Adam Linder (terry Isner) and Sarah Linder; grandchildren Kayla Lavallee (Ryan), Morgan McCaffrey, Michael Meehan, Sean Meehan, Tayler Fichtelman (Tristan) Brigid McCaffrey, Olivia Isner, Savannah Isner, and Erica Isner and great grandchildren Craig and Lauren Lavallee.

Dick will also be missed by his good friends, his colleagues and his clients. We will all miss his strength and incredible integrity, his calm and reassuring way, his good counsel, his kindness and twinkling Irish eyes.

A visitation will be held at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, VA 22302 from five to seven PM on Thursday, November 21, 2019, followed by a memorial service on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11am. A reception will follow from one to three PM at the Army Navey Country Club, 1700 Army Navy Drive, Arlington VA 22202.
