Rita Cecelia Agner

Rita Cecelia Agner, 78, of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away on September 5th, 2023 in Fairfax, Virginia. 

Rita was born in Charleston, South Carolina to Frances Lois Jarrett on April 25th, 1945. She married David Whitley Agner on January 17th, 1970 in Alexandria, Virginia. 

Rita was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother who had a passion for babies and animals. She will be missed and never forgotten. 

Rita is preceded in death by her husband David Whitley Agner, mother Frances Lois Jarrett, infant son Gary Edward Cline, and grandson Robert Eugene Kidwell III. 

Rita is survived by her children, Lori Denise Fox (Bill), James Patrick Agner (Tina), and Karianne Rene Agner (Jerod) as well as grandchildren Joshua Eugene King, David Aaron King, Hailey Jordan Agner and Riley Peyton Agner. 

Donations may be made in her honor to Fairfax County Animal Shelter. 

A memorial service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date to be determined.
