Susan Anne (Ewen) Carney

Susan Anne Ewen Carney, age 62 of Naples, FL and Alexandria, VA, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2021 from Alzheimer's Disease. Susan was born in Alexandria, VA on September 1, 1958 and attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic School and St Mary's Academy, both in Alexandria, VA and Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. After finishing school Susan went to work for the American Red Cross. She left ARC after 3 years and went to work for Comcast, which she stayed with for 26 years.

Susan was a great lover of music especially Country Style Music. She knew all the great artist and could sing along with the words over 90% of the most popular songs.

Susan is survived by her son, Benjamin Carney; her parents Julius and Mary Ewen; her brother Michael Ewen and his wife Barbara Stettner; her sister Mary Ellen Owen and her husband Lee; her nieces and nephews Thomas Ewen and his wife Heather; Catrina Ewen; Felicia Nokes and her husband Louis; Will Owen and his wife Kayla; Nick Owen; Madison Owen; her great nieces and nephews Will Ewen; Jolene Green-Ewen; Christian Ewen; Isaiah Ewen; Landon Nokes; and Wesley Nokes; and her precious cat Sweety.

A Memorial visitation will be held on June 27 from 4:00PM till 6:00PM at Everly Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on June 28 at 11:00AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1427 West Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA. Burial will be at St Mary's Cemetery, S Washington Street, Alexandria, VA immediately following the funeral.
