Please accept my sincere condolences at this difficult time. The pain we experience when we lose someone close can be hard to cope with. But it is comforting that our Heavenly father promises to get rid of what causes the pain, which is death (1 Corinthians 15:26). More than that, he promises a positive hope for the future (John 5:28,29).

We just learned of Susan's passing last night when we had dinner at RT's.
She was such a dear person to our family. Nineteen years ago, the night before my husband and I left for China to adopt our daughter, we had dinner at RT's. Susan waited on us. We were celebrating our trip and Susan was so excited about our upcoming adoption.
Three weeks later when we got back from China with our new daughter, we went to RT's for dinner. Susan was sooooo excited to meet her. She picked her up and showed her to all the wait staff including Paul and Smart. Then she took her back to the kitchen to meet the cook and to get ice cream . Susan was part of our family from then on. We always went in to see her and she always asked our two children by this time, how they were and what was happening at school. They have grown up with her.
We miss seeing our friend, Susan when we are at RT's and we celebrate her life!

Dear Mike and Family,
My deepest condolences on your loss. Susan was a wonderful neighbor during my years at Parkfairfax. I always enjoyed seeing her around the neighborhood or at RT's. May your memories bring you comfort during this sad time.

I have been Susan and Michael's neighbor for years. Susan and I used to talk and during one of these chats, she gave me a piece of advice I will never forget. I was complaining about having to spend time with my mom and Susan said "Robin, cherish this time with your mom, because someday you will be grateful you spent this time with her." I thought of this advice often in the years since and it turns out that Susan was right. She gave me one of the best pieces of advice I have ever received. I am going to miss our chats but I will never forget her advice for which I will always be thankful and I will never forget Susan.

A friend shared this sad news with me today. I only knew Susan as a friendly face at RT's where we discussed music and shared experiences of working with the public. I loved her observations and liked how when we talked, she drew others into the conversation too, creating ease whenever I went there alone. I've missed seeing her at RT's for a while now and I know I'm not he only one. I also remember that she remembered EVERYONE. My sincerest condolences too all who love her. May she rest in sweet peace.

I cried when you passed away, I still cry today although I loved you dearly, I could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, God broke my heart to prove to me He only takes the best. Mom and Poppa Pumphrey and Family
