Walter Thomas Rampersaud

Walter Thomas Rampersaud died on May 12, 2018 in Greenville, North Carolina. He was 60. Walter was born to Ethel and Walter Rampersaud Sr. on December 27, 1957 in Cumberland Village, East Canje, Berbice, Guyana. He attended Cumberland Methodist School, then high school at Berbice Educational Institute. After migrating to the U.S. in the late 1970’s, he attended Edgecombe Community College, and East Carolina University becoming an R.N. with a B.A. in Biology. He is the brother of Edward, Michael, Grace, Gloria, Patricia, Desiree, and Beatrice; uncle to Edward, Steven, Mickey, Tim, John, Sattesh, Christina, Matthew, Joshua, John and Mark. He loved his family, his Christian faith, life in North Carolina and his work at Vidant Medical Center  in Greenville. He is preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, John.

Friends and family may visit on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 3:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m. at Everly Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Rd.,Alexandria, VA 22302. A funeral service will be held at this location on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family's church of St. Barnabas' Episcopal Church, 4801 Ravensworth Rd. in Annandale.
