William L. Andrews “Bill”, 84, of Dumfries, Virginia received his angel wings and departed this life on Thursday, July 18, 2019. Bill passed at Sentara hospital surrounded by loved ones.
He was beloved by a vast family and a multitude of dear friends. He was a committed father, grandfather, life partner and friend. Bill retired from the United States government and spent his retirement participating in many outdoor activities including golfing, boating, hunting, traveling and enjoying the great outdoors. Bill was an avid fan of the Washington Nationals and San Francisco 49ers.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Catherine, and father Lloyd Frank, brother Lloyd and sister Barbara Jean. Survivors include his Life Partner, Michelle Smith, five children, William Jr. (Kathy), Bret (Maria), Brad, Bruce and Bernadette, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
Family and friends who wish to share stories and celebrate William's life will have an opportunity to do so from 3:30 pm to 4 pm, and 7:30 pm to 8 pm.
