I did not appreciate what Mr. Jodoin taught me until I was an adult. I was and still am a terrible procrastinator. He still tried to get me interested in history with no such luck. However, he gave me a thesaurus with the kindest inscription that I still have today and appreciate the true lessons he taught me: accept my consequences, apply myself, and patience is a true gift. He will be missed.

Oh, “Ribbet”, I am going to miss you so much—your teasing, “Lock up the refrigerator; or she’ll eat so much, there won’t be anything left.” ; your wisdom and knowledge; your humor; your shepherding of my son, Nathan;
politics; conversation, your love of my sister Faith. It feels like our family has had an amputation.
I know your spirit is already with God, and that you are at peace; still, it hurts. I am reminded of Shakespeare’s words: “When he shall die take him and cut him out into stars, and he shall make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night. . . “
Godspeed.

It was always a pleasure working with Mr. Jodoin. We had some great conversations about the latest book that he was reading. He will be missed.
