Evelyn and I were neighbors since 2001. I would always see her in her yard where she loved to spend time tending flowers, bushes and grilling meat for her evening meal. We would often chat and catch up on each others lives. My mom and dad would often visit from the Netherlands and my dad would spend hours in our yard as well. Evelyn would always talk to him and make sure that he felt welcome in our neighborhood. My dad passed away last December and now Evelyn. Two of my favorite gardeners are gone. I will miss them both.
